Spearfishing Trips

Spearfishing has been a popular pastime and means of survival for hundreds of years. Even though it’s more of a hobby now than a necessity, it’s still a popular option for those looking to catch that fish without a conventional fishing rod.

However, finding a good spot to go spearfishing can be difficult. Many areas teeming with fish aren’t reachable by land and that can be a problem for the avid fisher.

This is where Southern Charters comes in.

Have you got a group of mates wanting to experience spearfishing and a fun day out? Let Southern Charters get involved!

We can take you and up to eight mates to any popular spearfishing destination around Bluff, Stewart Island and beyond. Boat captain Lindsay Turner has over three decades of experience in commercial fishing and abalone diving, so he knows all those premium locations to help you get your fill. This includes around Foveaux Strait and beyond.

Need transport to Bluff? Lindsay can arrange to have you and your friends transported from Invercargill to Bluff where you will hop onboard his boat. From here, he will transport you to your location of choice, before getting you home again at a later time.
